Design Problem: Instead of the traditional public ice hockey rink - urban skating pathways imitate the experience of skating in nature; along rivers, between trees. However, these paths are often times too small and lack variety. Can a constructed skating path within a constrained area become more diverse and exciting? I am interested in designing a long skating path in a constrained area, that can exist within an urban fabric, by creating a variety of turns in such a way that maximizes diversity of skating spaces while insuring a continuous loop.

Urban constraints: limited space 250,000 sqft plot
Pathway constraints: minimum width 25 ft
Sport constraints: 85ft x 200ft national hockey requirements

My goal is to maximize the length of path and create a variety of skating spaces that also incorporates a traditional hockey rink.
